Magrane Hill has released a new record. The disc, titled Public House, was recorded fresh off a west coast tour in May of 2008. Upon our return to Portland we set up a handful of microphones and spent 48 hours recording songs in both the spirit of that tour, and that of the old folk tradition: live and unedited.

Featuring acoustic and electric guitars, electric and upright bass, baritone guitar, mandolin, wurlitzer piano, and vocals, the record has a wider range of instrumentation and sonic texture than you'd expect from your ordinary americana / roots music folk duo.
